Marcela's path to Cosmica began during eight years of living with symptomatic arrhythmia and autoimmune illness. Meditation opened a new way of listening and became the doorway to a profound spiritual awakening. Over time, she stepped away from a demanding career in commercial real estate and toward a life rooted in creativity, conscious choice, and meaningful connection. 

In 2018, she purchased the property that would become Cosmica. She began gathering women in intimate circles devoted to freedom, self-discovery, and intentional living. What started with a handful of women in her living room gradually grew into Cosmica - a colorful portal for art, transformation, and experiences that move beyond words.

Marcela's Full Biography

Marcela Starflower is a transformational artist, empowerment coach, certified Sundoor firewalking instructor, and the founder and visionary behind Cosmica. She is the creator of Cosmica Journeys, immersive experiences that bring together intuitive painting, embodied courage, spiritual exploration, and conscious connection.

Marcela's work grew from her own healing journey. After living for eight years with a symptomatic arrhythmia, alongside autoimmune illness, she began meditating and exploring the relationship between her emotional life, physical body, and spiritual well-being. What began as a search for healing became a profound awakening that ultimately called her to dismantle a life built around high-pressure commercial real estate and create spaces where others could reconnect with themselves and discover deeper meaning.

In 2018, Marcela purchased the property that would eventually become Cosmica. She began by facilitating women's circles, first in her home and later at the property, centered on releasing limiting beliefs, reclaiming personal freedom, and creating more intentional lives.

Her continuing education has included training in circle facilitation, spiritual and energetic coaching, embodied empowerment, and Intentional Creativity. She is a Warrior Goddess Training facilitator, an Artist of the Spirit life coach, a certified Sundoor firewalk instructor, and a Color of Woman teacher. Since 2019, she has completed an evolving series of Intentional Creativity trainings and certifications. She also undertook a seven-year apprenticeship grounded in the Toltec tradition and continues to participate in advanced meditation and consciousness work.

At the heart of Marcela's practice is her signature Painting Journey, a guided creative experience using color, symbolism, intuition, and intention to reveal what words alone cannot reach. Her work invites participants to meet themselves with honesty, awaken courage, expand what they believe is possible, and give form to the self they are becoming.

Through Cosmica Journeys, Marcela brings the many threads of her life and training into one evolving body of work: experiences that open portals to creativity, transformation, and remembrance of our deeper essence.

The creative process begins with an intention, inquiry, or possibility the participant chooses to explore. 

Give it form

Through color, symbolism, intuition, and mark-making, that inner vision takes visible form on the canvas. 

Meet it in the body

An embodied empowerment experience creates an opportunity to meet the intention through conscious choice..

Cross the threshold

At the threshold, each participant pauses for deep listening and chooses whether or not to cross. A clear yes or a clear no is honored as an expression of personal power and an invitation into inspired action.

HONORING MY TEACHERS

My work has been shaped by extraordinary teachers, lineages, and communities. I am deeply grateful to HeatherAsh Amara, whose Warrior Goddess Training teachings and embodied empowerment work strengthened my path of courage and personal freedom, and to Shiloh Sophia, whose Intentional Creativity methodology helped me rediscover painting as a pathway to insight, healing, and transformation.

Their teachings became important chapters in my journey. I honor what I received from them while allowing it to evolve through my own lived experience, artistic voice, and vision. I am forever grateful.
