"I don't just paint. I open portals."

Marcela Starflower is an Argentine-born, Miami-based transformational artist whose paintings explore becoming, feminine consciousness, ancestral memory, and the unseen dimensions of human experience. Her work moves through color, symbolism, intuitive mark-making, and layered imagery to create what she describes as portals, places where the visible and invisible worlds can meet.

Marcela painted her first oil painting at the age of ten and became an art teacher at twelve. When her parents divorced, she was removed from the art academy she attended, and that early creative pathway was interrupted. Although she returned to painting years later, traditional approaches focused on landscapes and external subjects did not fully express what she felt moving within her.

Her artistic life transformed when she discovered Intentional Creativity. Painting became more than representation; it became a way to enter into dialogue with her inner world. Since 2019, Marcela has completed extensive training in this approach, beginning with the year-long Color of Woman teacher certification and continuing through numerous advanced journeys and certifications.

Marcela's visual language draws upon portals, star ancestors, the divine feminine, the elements, spirals, cosmic consciousness, and the five-petaled starflower that has become her signature. Her work carries both an intimate personal history and a larger invitation: to remember that identity is not fixed and that creativity can become a passage between who we have been and who we are ready to become.

Through her paintings, Marcela invites the viewer into an encounter rather than an explanation. Each work holds the imprint of a journey she has lived while opening space for others to recognize something within themselves, their own remembrance, possibility, courage, and becoming.

"I don't create illustrations of transformation. I create its living record , a place where the visible and invisible worlds can meet." - Marcela Starflower

Living Records of Transformation

Each artwork in Marcela's current body of work began as a personal Painting Journey through which she explored her inner world. These works are not illustrations made after the fact. They are living records of transformation as it occurred.
